The word future is something uncertain and career just adds to the suspense. However, what we could atleast do is plan it and see how it goes from there. Apparently, i haven’t determined my future set in stone because I know there is always a possibility to change. Therefore, for my future career i keep my options wide and not be too picky. On the other hand, i always keep my priority based on my character, interest and liking. Actually, i recently found out how my personality really is in CPU just recently and it was amazing.
On 13th of October ,there was an activity to find out your personality and highlighting suitable careers based on that. The presenters were from the Taylors’s main campus and they were invited my Ms Shafinaz. We got ourselves a sheet of paper which we need to answer the questions on it. Basically, it is a Career Test done informally. They gave a time to finish ticking all the questions, then we were instructed to count those ticks based on columns. Each column has their own respective attributes, the columns with the most number of ticks defines how you are. The presenters took over the microphone explaining what careers are more suitable for different columns.
As for me, I got the column for scientific and arts career. They explained that scientific careers means jobs which are based on analyzing, observing, investigate, and calculating most of the time. While the arts careers are more towards creativity spawning,forming new ideas, revolutionary design and amazing architectural realizati
on. From the Career Test, I think i need something from both fields. As a result, i really prioritize in Food engineering. Basically, it is a combination science, microbiology, creative arts and engineering education for food and related industries. That for me is the best of both sides.
To make that a reality, I hope to further my studie
s in McGill University. Its is located in Montreal. I want to enroll in their Bachelor programs for Food Science Biosource Engineering after i have finished my CPU in Taylors. To enter, i need to get atleast 85% for all subjects at an overall and this is very high. Not to mention, i need to get atleast a band 6.5 for IELTS so that MARA (my sponsors) would allow me to fly to Canada. In the end, to achieve our hopes and dreams is not as easy at it seems. To sum, Eminem once said “some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it” so based on that I will keep my spirit and keep moving towards my priorities in obtaining my future career.
